Mommy/Daughter date

I absolutely love the one below!!! Now where to put it? Sigh.

There is something about a little girl and horses.

These pics make me want to cry. My girl is getting so old! She's almost 7!

One of Ms. Cuteness
This was a fun-filled week! On Wednesday I got together with Angie from Simplicity Photography (located in Salt Lake). We both brought our daughters and decked them out and took pics of them. It was SOOOOOOOOOOOO fun!!! The girls had never met before but became insta-friends, it was adorable!
I have to use some major bribery with my kids since I take a zillion pics of them so we took them out for ice cream afterwards and talked photo-talk and Mommy-talk. Good times!
For Thanksgiving we had an amazing FEAST at my friend's Dad's house and then spontaneously went to see "Twilight" which I vowed I wouldn't do until I read the book but...peer pressure ;0)
I LOOOOOVED it and so did Matt! Now I HAVE to read the book!
Oh and Friday I did some major shopping at 5:30 AM (I am hardcore!) with my girlfriends. We went out to breakfast at the Cracker Box which is the most amazing breakfast place EVER! Shopping and breakfast are one of my all-time favorite things to do and it's even better with my girls. Got some sweet deals for Christmas so I am pretty much done.
We had a good time just hanging out with our little family. Hope you had a good week too!

Francypants Academy is here!

I am SO excited to tell you about my new venture. I have photographers asking me questions all the time so I thought I would offer an Online Mentoring course. I majored in Elementary Education and have always been a teacher at heart. (I used to teach my dolls when I was little!) so I am excited to share what I have learned through the years with beg. & adv. photographers who want to make their images and their business stand out in a digital world.
Registration will open on December 1st at 9 AM PST so start buttering up your hubbies now! This would make a fabulous Christmas gift for yourself and it's tax deductable ;0).

Best book & cookies evah!

We are slammed with holiday orders so I will make this quick. I have always loved children's books. I LOVE to read to my kids. It's one of my favorite things to do with them. I stumbled upon this book when I took the kiddos to the library and I love it. Mostly because at the end, there is a recipe for the best sugar cookies evah! It's a fun little memory maker because you can read the book to your kiddos, then make these cookies with them, and best of all, eat the cookies with them.

I am giving this book to them for Christmas so they will always remember those memories with Mom. Just thought I would share as a gift idea (or if you need a good cookie recipe for holiday parties or neighbor gifts).

Pitter Pat ~ Reno toddler portraits

Snugglin' with Mommy when the session was over.
I love the sound of little toddler feet running through the house. This little gal was about the same age as my baby (I refuse to call him a toddler) and I really love this age because they are so sweet and silly! We did the session at her home and had a lovely time playing dollies and peek-a-boo. She was such a smart girl and was full of energy.

I do weddings!

I have had several people ask if I photograph weddings. I am excited to announce that I have teamed up with Kelli Jane Photography to photograph weddings together. Since I feel my specialty is with the engagement photos, I will be doing those (and creating killer announcements and guest sign-in books). Then Kelli Jane, who is located in Sacramento and FABULOUS at Wedding photography, will be the main shooter and I will be the second shooter to get the candid stuff (my fave!) at the Wedding.

I chose Kelli Jane to be my partner in weddings because I felt her style was similar to my own. Check out her site.
And since we both have the exact same name, our business name will be Kelli² Weddings ~ a division of France Photography. How fun is that?

Je T 'aime

Meet Jeri & Sari. They drove all the way from Utah just to get engagement pictures from me. They drove down Friday we took pics and they left the next morning. I was very flattered and had SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much fun taking their pictures. I even got to style their session by telling them what they should wear. I love it when my clients trust me like that. They are THE funnest couple evah! I told them they need to come move by us so we can hang out ;0). Here's a ton o' shots of them together. I am designing their announcements and they are going to ROCK! I love doing engagement pics because there is so much emotion to capture. Sigh.

Frame Junky

You know how I said I was a shoe junky? Well I think I am turning into a frame junky. Here's a peek at some new frames we are adding to our line. They are a little bit shabby and 100% chic.

Senior Guy and his guitar

This image is titled "Where's Waldo." I love how his stripes just blend into the background.

Lookout ladies. This guy has a guitar and he knows how to use it. You can tell he is a cool cat (is it the shades or the expression that give it away?) I mean really, what guy can look THAT good clicking his heels?! I kept teasing him that these pictures were for his CD cover. I called him the "guitarist on the roof" because we took a bunch of pics on the rooftop. Photography is a dangerous job but someone's gotta do it ;0)

Our new portrait consultant

Business is booming so we thought it was time to expand a little and get ourselves a Portrait Consultant to take care of our Interior Design Consultations. We hired one of our long-time clients and friends, Alyssa, and she is perfect for the job!
P.S. She makes the best cakes and since I DON'T and we all know it, I hired her to make my hubby's birthday cake. I love how she did it!
