Retro Glam Fam

This session rocked my world!  It was like a high fashion glamour shoot with a family and I loved every minute of it.  I am ALL about doing non-traditional family sessions.  Oh and the Mama is my hairstylist and owner of Salon Chocolat, hence the fabulous hairdo's on everyone!  I can't wait to show you her wall too!  She is getting a cluster of 7 canvas's from this session.  

Model Session!!!

These CUTE kiddos are actually previous clients of mine that were voted as some of the models for France Photography's Model Search and it's obvious why.  Don't they both have the best brown eyes??  Their clothes are from Rock-a-bye Reno.  So fun and funky!  

Oh and the place where we did the session just happened to be where their parents were married.  Crazy coincidence!

Baby Bumblebee

We have a big chest full of dressup clothes and my toddler found the baby bumblebee one.  It's my fave!  I've got pictures of all my kids at this age in this so I had to get a shot of him in it too.  

I know you are all excited to see the Model Sessions but I am slammed!  I will post one in the next couple of days though.

Worry Less, Pray More

I am crazy-busy with all these Model Search sessions so I just wanted to share a quote that I read today that inspired me.  It was on a post-it note at a store that said "worry less, pray more." 

What a simple, yet profound statement.  I think that is something that every parent and every person in this crazy world needs to remember.  I sometimes get so busy with life that I forget to talk to God or thank Him for all the blessings I have.  That is my goal this week to count my blessings and worry less, pray more.

Gerber baby

This little guy (well actually, he's not little, he's 16 lbs of cuteness at just 3 months) reminds me of the Gerber baby.  He was the cutest little munchkin and was so happy!  When I showed up at his Grandma's house, who by the way, has the most amazing blog for all things vintage called A Cottage Industry) he was asleep so I had to get a shot of him all curled up on this adorable bed.

Then we did some shots of him in this vintage bassinet that Tracey had and I love how it turned out.  Don't you just wanna squish his cheeks?!

Spring Break

This week is Spring Break for my kids and we have just enjoyed chillin' at home.  The kids have been begging to run through the sprinklers all year so we finally let them even though it was only semi-warm.  They had a blast and played outside all morning.  I enjoyed sitting in the sun reading.  They even let me take a picture of them and they were being so cute and good for me!  It was amazing!  

I caught myself smiling while I was playing with these in Photoshop.  This is why I do what I do...to cherish childhood and to make moms, like myself, smile with delight when they look at the portraits of their children and remember what life is all about.  

P.S.  I may have to get a large portrait for my wall since I hardly have any good ones of all 3 together.  Which one is your fave?

Have you seen it?

My 7 year old daughter and I went to see it on a girls night and it was so fun!  She LOVED it and was dancing throughout the whole movie.  I LOVED the music and thought it was pretty cute so if you have a little girl, you gotta take her to this one.

Baby love

Remember the Henna Mama? Well, she had her baby and he is sweet as could be.  We tried all sorts of new things and he was a little angel.  I am still doing a Newborn Model Call .  Click the link for more details.

We received over 30 contestants for my Model Search so to be unbiased, I pulled myself out of the judging and commissed several professional photographer peers (who live out of state) to be the judges. We were only able to offer a limited number of sessions but we do have a surprise for those who were not selected. We will be contacting the winners today via email and phone so check your in box!

Custom birthday cards

                                     If I could give this image a name it would be titled "Top Gun."  

That's totally what it reminds me of.

This was really fun because these guys are like family to me.  They never got engagement portraits taken either so I wanted to capture their unique relationship which is pretty much them being silly together (like me and my hubby).  Jim loves to skateboard so I thought we'd do something involving that.  I love how they turned out!
