Our Candydance Display

This weekend we had a display in an Antique shop called Rustic Romance (Shabby Chic heaven!) during the Candydance Festival. Here are some pics that I took of it with my point-and-shoot camera. We mostly displayed our Very Vintage Portraits there. Excuse our ghetto logo sign. It is homemade because the one we ordered never came.
My hubby and I had a fabulous time meeting new people (and a couple blog stalkers...I know who you are now ;0) ) and taking turns having taco breaks (I ate 4 while I was there-LOL!) We also booked several new clients whom we are looking forward to working with!
Note to self: do not wear heels at the next Candydance. I was dying!

Candy Dance!

We have been super busy this week getting ready for the Candy Dance (an Arts & Crafts festival in Genoa) but I promised my friend I would post more pics of her little chunky monkey so here they are Lacy!
Be sure to come visit us at the Candy Dance. We will be inside the red Rustic Romance Antique shop on the South end of Genoa. We are selling discounted Gift Certificates there so you might want to stop by if you've been wanting to get a portrait session done. We'll post pics of our booth next week.

Wanna see a barechested fireman?

He.he.he. Made you look!

This is my baby's (I am in denial that he is a toddler) new favorite thing to wear around the house. He also likes to strip off his clothes randomly. In fact, yesterday, he tore off his diaper and started peeing on the floor --Aaaaaaa! Maybe it's time to start potty training or using duct tape on the diapers (that was our trick with our older two).

Wedding Portraits; Part 2

My adorable nephew and his beautiful Mama snuggling.

My "Bubs" caught hanging out below the grown-ups.
Miss Nanna and her new boyfriend (well, at least that's what he thinks ;0)). She was so embaressed that he wanted to dance with her at the wedding.
A Quiet moment for my girl. She had no idea that I got this. He.he.he.
This picture is SOOOOOOOO them!

Okay, I had to post some pics of my kiddos all decked out in their wedding gear. I am bummed that I didn't get a good one of the baby but he was bawling during the photos because my hubby and I were taking pics and not holding him. He didn't understand why he could see us yet we wouldn't hold him. I felt bad but we all had to make sacrifices for good portraits, right? Hopefully, he won't grow up and tell about it on Oprah-LOL!

Fun family session!

Sorry it's been so long. We went to Utah for my brother-in-law's wedding where I photographed the wedding. My kids were also in the wedding and looked OH SO adorable in their cute li'l outfits. Pictures of the wedding to come next week.

While we were there, I took family pictures for my friend, Kara Elmore, who is also a photographer. I have tons more to show you but here's just a few of my favorites. I LOVED doing the session at their home because it made it so personal and sweet and real. Kara and I have SO much in common it's scary. Her kids are all the same age as mine but the opposite sex so we have already decided that the odds are good for a future wedding and one very well documented one at that ;0).

"Peeps": Toddler Portrait

Remember my friend from the 80's?? (see old school pic from below if you missed it) Well, here is her ADORABLE and incredibly happy daughter whom I called "Peeps" the whole time she was here. This is one of the pics I took of her while we were in Unionville and it's my fave of all the ones we took of her.

A few more of the twins

I couldn't resist showing a couple more. I figure there's double the toddlers so I can do a double post too. I had to add these two in B&W because they have a "good ole days" feel to them. And of course, who can resist the one of them so happy together. They look like little Baby Gap models in their cardigans.

Back to School: Twins Portraits

This session was VERY unique for several reasons. One being that my family and I got to vacation at one of my clients homes in the tiny, secluded town of Unionville. We had a fabulous time getting to know them better and my kids loved playing by the pond and roaming outdoors. I even got some shots of my youngest and my friend's baby as well which I will post in the next couple of days.
The other reason it was so unique is that there just happened to be an old schoolhouse out there which gave my client the idea of doing a theme around it. I was totally giddy about the idea! I LOVE it when my clients get it!
Another reason that made this session unique was that it was with TWIN TODDLERS. I won't lie to you, that is a tricky combination. I managed to get some smiles and to get them to stay by one another long enough for some fun shots. We (including the parents, grandparents, me and the twins) were all exhausted afterwards from chasing them around and keeping them in one place but it was so worth it!

Wall of the Week: Funky office display!

Check out this funky office display that we put together for one of my clients. I thought our frames were the perfect way to spice up her office and add a bit of color. She and I had such fun picking out the color combinations and dots. Oh how I LOVE the dots! They make the frames look so fun and unique. I am seriously addicted to these frames. I can't get enough of the many custom color combinations.

On another note, I will be out of the office this weekend for a Girls Weekend Getaway in Sacramento (can't wait!) So my hubby gets to take-over which my kids are thrilled about. They told me "We love it when you leave because Dad doesn't know the rules!" So I guess they are going to have a No-Rules weekend. I don't mind because I will be having a No-Rule-Enforcing weekend. He.he.he.

And the winners are...

Ya-de-de-duh (Oh gosh, I've seen one too many episodes of "Elmo's World")

..................Kristi and Terressa!

Please email me with your address information and let me know which store (Bath & Body Works or Starbucks) you would like your $10 Gift Certificate from.

Thank you everyone for participating!

Top Ten Contest

WOO-HOO! I am tickled pink! My blog just reached 10,000 hits thanks to all you readers. And that is just for 2008. I didn't even have a stat counter until this year. So to celebrate this blog and all you awesome readers, I thought we'd have a little contest involving some prizes.

Here's how it goes. I started a Top Ten list (David Letterman style) of reasons to check this blog, but I need some help filling in the rest. Post a comment with a reason to check this blog. It can be witty, sassy or sincere--whatever floats your boat. Then, I will put all the commenters into a hat and draw two names to receive a $10 Gift Certificate (get it...10,000= $10) to your choice of Starbucks or Bath & Body Works. This contest is open for all blog readers around the world, not just locals. Sound good? Let's get started.

Top Ten Reasons to Check this Blog
1. The photos, of course!
2. For freebies, duh.
3. To see yet another picture of Kelli's victims...I mean, kids.
4. What else is there to do at work? (besides work)
5. It makes you feel better about your cake making skills ;0) (see previous post)
6. Because you thought you were really going to see pictures of France when you stumbled upon this.
7.
8.
9.
10.

Okay, now you fill in the rest! Contest will close Thursday at midnight and I will post the winners on Friday.
